LiR Nelson & Area Interest Groups

Are you looking for a few people who share your love of a particular activity?  LiR members can organize their own groups!

Any LiR member who would like either to join one of the current interest groups, or suggest a new activity, please email Susan at lir22social@gmail.com

Active groups (welcoming more members):

• Board games & logic puzzles
• Book club
• Conversational Spanish
• Film fans
• Hot springs
• Ideas Cafe
• Women’s Coffee & Chat

Seasonal Interests

• Walking group
  • Wednesdays, low to moderate intensity. Well behaved dogs are allowed, as long as they do not interfere with the safety of the walkers.
• Hiking group
  • Thursdays, moderate to high intensity. Outings may be longer than the Wednesday walks in time and/or distance. No dogs allowed.
• Downhill skiing
• Cross-country skiing
• Snowshoeing
• Co-operative tennis or ping pong, depending on the season
