Nelson and Area Learning in Retirement Society is a non-profit run by seniors for seniors, working in partnership with Community Education at Selkirk College to provide a diverse program of speakers, courses and activities for its members.
Who We Are
We offer our 50+ community the opportunity to explore old and new interests in a relaxed and stimulative learning environment. LiR, a volunteer not-for-profit society, works in partnership with Community Education at Selkirk College to develop and provide a diverse program of speakers, courses and other activities for its members.
What We Do
LiR members enjoy our Friday presentations, multi-session classes, interest groups as well as special events.
Some of each are challenging, some are informative, some are social and some are just for fun.
